Description of Works
This Client wished to use recycled aggregate to achieve the site levels as proposed on their approved Development Site Plans. To do this, SERS have sought to achieve approvals so that the Client can instate a C&D Recycling Facility on their property for a period of 6 months.

This involves the provision of advice on the design and site set-up of a Construction & Demolition Crushing/ Recycling facility taking into account environmental factors and mitigation techniques. Achieving environmental approvals (Category 13 & 62) through the formulation of all environmental management plans associated with the Development (planning and environmental).

SERS undertook all necessitated liaison with the DEC and Local Authority on environmental matters. SERS also represented the Client as the environmental expert in the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) process. The management of the client’s town planning consultants and solicitors, in consultation with the Client was also undertaken by SERS.

Outcome
Licence was approved by all regulatory authorities and operations as planned were completed in November 2012.

This provided all necessary fill requirements for the proposed development saving the landholder potentially millions of dollars the alternative of importing alternate material.
