Description of Works
Currently operating as a sand extraction pit, this Client ultimately wishes to reinstate the land by developing an Inert Landfill and associated Crushing facility to achieve proposed site levels and also compaction rates for possible future development. On SERS advice, this project has been split into two stages whereby the initial ground works proposal involves the instatement of clean fill and clay attenuation bunds to improve the aesthetics of the site and to reduce noise emissions associated with the future landfill activity.

SERS have been engaged to achieve environmental approvals through the formulation of all environmental management plans associated with the Development (planning and environmental) and submission of applications to the DEC.

Outcome
Stage 1 Approved.

Applications pending subject to background Dust, Noise and Groundwater results to be submitted to the DEC (Jan 2012)
